FAQ

What is a wax Melt?

A wax melt is a scented piece of wax, much like what you’d find in a candle jar - but without the wick! To fill your home with fragrance, you simply warm up and melt the wax melt using either an electric burner or a tealight heated burner.

How much am I getting when I order?

Each 'unit' is 1 oz net weight. If you would like a larger amount of a particular scent, I do have larger bags that can hold 5 to 10 oz.

What is a Scent Profile?

Generally wax melt fragrances contain top, middle, and base notes.
  1. Top fragrance notes are sometimes referred to as the opening notes or the “impression” notes. Think of top notes as the fragrance that adds the zing - or cuts the fragrance. Common top notes include citrus (lemon, orange bergamot), light fruits (grapefruit, berries), and herbs (lavender). Top notes are sharp, generally the last thing you smell before the scent dissipates and make up 5-20% of the fragrance blend.
  2. Middle notes are known as the heart of the fragrance. The middle notes act as the anchor for the fragrance and are used to balance top and base notes. Think of the middle notes as an “equalizer” used as the main body of the fragrance, to which other fragrance notes build upon. Middle notes generally make up 50-80% of the fragrance blend.
  3. Base notes present themselves once the top notes have disappeared. The job of the base notes is to provide a lasting impression. Common base notes include fragrances like vanilla, sandalwood, patchouli, cedarwood and musk. Base notes also make up 5-20% of the fragrance blend.
